As moms, we are ALWAYS worrying about our babies. We fuss over what and how much they eat, how much or how little they cry, and even what color their poop is. Those first few years are HARD and SCARY.
As I continue my training as an SLP, I’ve taken special interest in Early Intervention – speech and language development of babies birth to 3 years. One major thing I’ve learned along the way that I want to make sure is very clear is that
every child is different.
Development does not have to follow a strict progression and I beg you momma, please don’t overanalyze and stress if your little duckling doesn’t fit this guideline to a T. There can be variations and yes, some children do pick things up later than others. My advice, look over these milestones and trust your gut. If you think your kiddo may be delayed in their communication skills find your state’s Early Intervention program. You are able to do self – referral. If you have any questions, or need assistance with this feel free to contact me for a free consult!
